With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John M. Dennis Sr. of Danvers, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on October 18, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dennis and Mary Wall Dennis; his daughter Sheila Spivey; and his siblings, Tom Dennis (Cathy) and Christine Beebe.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Dennis (Nancy) of Danvers, IL, John M. "Mike" Dennis Jr. (Karen) and Georgia Spivey (Steve); his grandchildren, Luscina Dennis of East Peoria, IL, Kalle Dennis, Cassie Dennis, Collin Dennis, Amanda Yazell, Andrea Fears (Steve), Trisha Filliman (Mike) and Amber Monroe (Jared); and his siblings, James Dennis of Taylorville, IL, William Dennis, Tim Dennis (Susan) and Paulita Killian (Mark) of Lexington, IL.. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
The service and visitation will be limited to 50 persons at a time and everyone must wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
