He was predeceased by: his parents, John Koerkenmeier and Mary Koerkenmeier (Deiters); his wife Mary Rita Kalmer; his daughter Doris Koerkenmeier; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Catherine Kalmer; his brothers, Richard Koerkenmeier and Robert Koerkenmeier (Ruthie); and his siblings-in-law, Emil Rensing (Verena), Leo Varel (Marcella), Lawrence Kalmer (Virginia), Hugo Wilke (Ruthie) and Margaret Thole.
He is survived by: his children, Ralph Koerkenmeier (JoAnn) of Damiansville, Jim Koerkenmeier (Deb) of Carlyle, John Koerkenmeier (Deb) of Damiansville, Don Koerkenmeier (Lynn) of Stilwell, KS and Rosie Trame (Mike) of Damiansville; his grandchildren, Brad Koerkenmeier (Heather), Alexis McAllister (Kevin), Tim Koerkenmeier (Lauren), Amanda Sauer (John), Clint Koerkenmeier, Travis Koerkenmeier (Whitney), Derrick Koerkenmeier (Ashley Smith), Josh Koerkenmeier (Darcy), Ryan Koerkenmeier (Chelsea), Melissa Gustafson (Jody) and Evan Trame (Amanda); and his brother-in-law Ralph Thole.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St Damian Church (1 W Main St, Damiansville, IL 62215). A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions in memory of Jerome are suggested to St. Damian Parish, Mater Dei Catholic High School, or Residential Hospice and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Nordike Funeral Home, 15 East Hanover Street, New Baden, IL 62265, who is assisting the family.
