Elmer H. Loepker Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmer H. Loepker of Damiansville, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elmer H. Loepker to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Loepker and Wilhelmina Loepker; his wife Kathryn "Katie" Toennies; his siblings, Vic Loepker (Mary), Paul Loepker (Rosemary), Bernell Loepker, Donald Loepker (Nancy) and Delores Schrage (Lee); his parents-in-law, Alphonse and Frances Toennies; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Beckmann, Ben Koch, Dan Langenhorst, Marcell Heimann, Ray Toennies (Marilyn) and Jerome Toennies.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Fuehne (Marvin) of Damiansville and David Loepker (Deanna) of Jerseyville; his grandchildren, Lindsey Mitchell (Robert), Crystal Fuehne, Shannon Sanders (Justin), Michelle Diekmann (Alex) and Nicholas Loepker (Allison Klaas); his great grandchildren, Kathryn "Kate", Brent, Luke Mitchell, Aria and Aiden Sanders; his siblings, Henrietta Koch of Germantown, Marilyn Buehne (Dave) of St. Rose, Gerri Wiegmann (Leroy) of Carlyle, Jo Ann Langenhorst of Germantown, Netsy Wuebbels (Lester) of Germantown and Lester Loepker (Deb) of Germantown; and his siblings-in-law, Lou Heimann of Aviston, Rich Toennies (Darlene) of Damiansville, Marvin "Max" Toennies (Doris) of Damiansville, Allen "Phonso" Toennies (Kay) of Damiansville and Bernice "Mech" Toennies of Damiansville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Damian Catholic Church (1 W Main St, Damiansville, IL 62215).
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
