He was predeceased by: his father Bernard W. "Barney"; his siblings, Vincent, Robert, Regina and Mary Spihlmann; his father-in-law Cletus; his brothers-in-law, Donald Fuehne and Duck Netemeyer; and his niece Heather Fuehne.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Spihlmann of Damiansville; his children, Deb Becker (Kurt) of Bartelso, Jeff Spihlmann (Jill) of Bartelso and Jason Spihlmann (Erica) of Breese; his grandchildren, Devon, Seth Becker, Carter, Tyler, Lance Spihlmann, Lexie and Kayla Spihlmann; his sisters, Marcella Markus (Larry) of Aviston and Marilyn Hecker (Hans) of St. Louis; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Netemeyer of Albers, Mary Lou Huling (Tom) of Fairview Heights, Nancy Toennies (Butch) of Damiansville, Dave Fuehne (Cindy "Cid") of Damiansville, Lynn Koerkenmeier (Don) of Stilwell, KS and Steve Fuehne (Gwen) of Damiansville.
