He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Nixon and Rilla Haines Nixon; his wife Phyllis Whittemore; his sons, Jim Nixon (Randy) of Dallas City and Timothy Nixon of Dallas City; his grandsons, Rusty Nixon and Mike May (Tammi); and his daughter Diana Lyn May. He was also cherished by three great-grandchildren.
