With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis J. Nixon of Dallas City, Illinois, born in Fort Madison, Iowa, who passed away on September 1, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Albert and Ruth Whittemore (Fightmaster); her sons, Jim Nixon (Randy) of Dallas City and Timothy Nixon of Dallas City; her grandsons, Rusty Nixon and Mike May (Tammi); and her daughter Diana Lyn May. She was also cherished by three great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the Durham United Methodist Church.
