It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew M. Wilhelm of Dallas City, Illinois, born in Brookfield, Missouri, who passed away on May 30, 2023, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Eric Ryan Wilhelm; his mother-in-law Irene Petty; and his brother-in-law Rusty Petty. He is survived by: his parents, Jerry Wilhelm Sr. (Merrye) of New London and Karen Piatt Jackson (Clarence) of Salisbury, Missouri; his significant other Jamie Williams of Dallas City; his daughters, Rachel Wesely of Dallas City and JoHannah Wilhelm-Riley of Mt. Pleasant; his siblings, Jenny Munden (Aaron) of Salisbury, Missouri, Jerry Wilhelm Jr. (Jennifer) of Danville, Jeff Wilhelm (Lindsay) of Mt. Pleasant and Jennifer Skinner (Josh) of Nauvoo; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Coleton, Caden, Justine, Jacob, Sarah, Zachary, Morghyn, Zander, Allison, Eleanor, Everly and Ryan Wilhelm.
A memorial fund has been established in Matt's memory for various local youth programs.
