She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl McKinnon and Irene Chapman McKinnon; her stepfather O. V. "Buster" Sights; her brother Mike McKinnon; her sister-in-law Mary Keith McKinnon; and her grandson Anthony Sturek.

She is survived by: her husband Roger Hughes; her children, Aaron Hughes (Dawn) of Mt. Sterling, IL, Stacey Sturek of Blandinsville, IL and Leanne Haney (Chris) of LaHarpe; and her siblings, Jack McKinnon of Dallas City, IL, Carol Sargent (Robert) of Blandinsville, Loretta Anders (David) of Kirkwood, IL and Wendy Olson (Jim) of Blandinsville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the LaHarpe Christian Church, MDH Hospice or the MDH Home Health Care.
