He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Martens and Wilma Martens (Wachtendorf); his grandparents, Ben, Minnie Martens, John and Hanna Wachtendorf; and his brother-in-law Dick Mapes.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole King of Alexandria, Mike Monnier of Burlington, Eric Monnier and Lacy Samuels of Kentucky; and his sisters, Carol Shay (Allen) of Carthage and Leona Mapes of Ferris. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
