He was predeceased by: his father Donald Rea; his son Jamey Scott Rea; and his grandparents, Dee, Helen Rea, Ray and Eva Canfield.

He is survived by: his mother Rayma Rea (Canfield) of Dallas City, Illinois; his children, Vanessa Rea of Burlington, Kiefer Lee Rea (Marina) of LaHarpe, Illinois, Kieth Shane Rea of LaHarpe, Illinois and Kyle Wayne Rea of LaHarpe, Illinois; his grandchildren, Hayden, Hannah, Skylie, Luka, Jack, Kylynn, Atlas and Forrest; and his siblings, Doug Rea (Mary Claire) of Fort Madison and Theresa Marsden (Kirby) of Niota, Illinois..

A memorial fund has been established for the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Fort Madison or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
