He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Vaughn and Helen Vaughn (Pence); his wife Norma Jeanne Clark; his brothers, Hubert and Haven Vaughn; and his sister-in-law Sydney Vaughn Hosford.

He is survived by: his children, Donna Anderson (Brian) of Fishers, Diana Helling (Dale) of Iowa City, Denise Hanley (Chris) of Peoria and Lance Vaughn (Danielle) of Altoona; his grandchildren, Drew Helling, Meagan and Erin Hanley; his children, Katie and Lauren Vaughn; and his sister-in-law Betty Vaughn.

Due to COVID -19, the family asks that masks be worn.
