He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Kelly; his children, Tom Thompson (Jane), Todd Thompson (Becky) and Trisha Tattini (Chad); his grandchildren, Josh Thompson (Shasta), Jordan Thompson (Courtney), Katie Thompson, Taylor Salisbury (Jayden), Jaden Thompson, Raegen Thompson, Tanner Tattini (Mili), Madison Tattini and Trey Tattini; his great grandchildren, Walker Thompson, Blake Thompson, Theo Tattini and Everly Salisbury; his brother Don Thompson (Marilyn); and his cousin Connie Becker (Wes).

The family suggests memorials to be made to the Dale TWP Fire Department, Covell Community Church or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
