He is survived by: his sons, Kerry John and Brent Alan; his grandchild Kerry; his wife Katherine Nelson Schlueter; his daughter-in-law Tina Schlueter; his grandchildren, Blake, Olivia, Abigail Schlueter, Brady (Taylor), Kendahlyn and Garrett Schlueter; his great grandchild Lennon; his siblings, Dianne Meinert (Fritz), Kathy Fehr (Randy) and Lonny Schlueter (Vicki); his in-laws, Darlene Losco (John), Linda Kleckler (Dick) and Harry Nelson (Janet); his aunt Barbara Schrader; his close friends, Bob Judy and Pete Goepfert; the parents of child, Vernon, Josie Schlueter, Harry and Bernice Nelson; his siblings-in-law, Charlene Gray and David Kruger; and also Philip Grandstrand.
A memorial has been established in his name for the VA Hospital of Madison and Monroe SSM Hospice/We Honor Veterans.
