We bid farewell to Lyle Reed of Dakota, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 4, 2024 at the age of 95. Lyle touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Reed and Mary Reed (Walker); his daughter Peggy Reed; and his siblings, Lois Moyer, Norma Raab, Phyllis Frautchy and Wayne Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Dunaway; his children, Mary Cummins (Randy) of Freeport, Barbara Simpson (Dale) of Freeport, Curtis Reed (Molly) of Winslow and Martin Reed of Dakota; his brother Keith Reed (Darlene); and his sister-in-law Iris Reed. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
