He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Thierry and Marion Thierry (Pannier); his wife Fern Thierry (Hutchcraft); his granddaughter Cara Munce; and his brothers, Dan Thierry and Robert Thierry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Thierry (Jeremy Laramore) of Belleville, Illinois and Laura Harrawood (Donald) of McLeansboro; his sisters, Christine Wolfe (John) of Bonnie, Illinois, Joy Hodge (Richard) of Dahlgren, Illinois, Elizabeth Adams (Steve) of Bonnie, Illinois, Clare Anselment (Danny) of Dahlgren, Illinois and Karla Smith (Bobby) of Clinton, Illinois.; his great grandchild Katie Munce; and his grandchildren, Andrea Welsh (Ian) of Evansville, Indiana, Amanda Harrawood of Indianapolis, Indiana and Malcolm Welsh.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations for St. Jude's Children's Hospital be made in Charles' memory.
