It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Zimmerman of Dahinda, Illinois, born in Avon, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Lester "Tag" and Helen Marjorie Zimmerman (Williamson); and his wife Jane Chambers. He is survived by: his sister Doris Hook (David) of West Burlington, Iowa; his children, Christina Chambers (Brett Hitchcock) of Galesburg and Cliffton Chambers (Jessica) of Galesburg; his grandsons, Matthew Chambers (Kodie) of Abingdon and Nathan Chambers of Galesburg; his great grandchild Jamison; and his grandfather Dave (Shirley Zimmerman).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Appleton Fire Department.
