With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl W. Young Sr. of Dahinda, Illinois, born in Beardstown, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith W. Young and Gloria D. Young (Birdsell); his wife Sharon J. Kell; and his brother Ernie. He is survived by: his children, Carl W. Young Jr. (Jill) of Galesburg and Sarah J. Blake (Andy) of Galesburg; his grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Samantha Young, Connor Kilpatrick, Holly and Gracie Blake; his great grandchildren, Keira Caves and Henry Ervin; and his sisters, Sandra Daniel (Bill) of Roseville and Donna Baity (Vic) of Monmouth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
