He was predeceased by: his mother Leona Irwin; his grandparents, Samuel and Corda Irwin; his wife Verna Fay Parker; and his son Donald "Donnie" E. Irwin Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Lucas (Mike) of Lake St and Donna Plumer (Clayton) of Cuba, IL; his grandchildren, Erin Totosz (Mike), Christopher Lucas (Cassie), Donald "Trey" E. Irwin III and Alanna Irwin; his great grandchildren, Samantha Totosz, Donald "Jordan" McCance (Rebecca), Dominic Lucas and Viviana Lucas; his daughter-in-law Dianne Irwin; and his siblings-in-law, Clyda Lea Miller and Kenny Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
