He was predeceased by: his father Louis Tegeler; and his grandparents, Mildred, Albert Tegeler, Lucy and Henry Dust.

He is survived by: his mother Teresa Tegeler (Dust); his spouse Michele Briggs; his sons, Connor and Luke; and his brothers, Mark (Kim) and Michael (Mandy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Connor and Luke's future education fund, to Sts. Peter and Paul School in Cary, IL, or to the Family Life Center in Effingham, IL.
