We bid farewell to Loris B. Thacker of Crystal Lake, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 6, 2024 at the age of 91. Loris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Martin "Mart" Burchfield and Vietta Cooper Burchfield. She is survived by: her children, Edith (Greg), Charles Jr. (Julie) and John Martin (Sherri); her grandchildren, Sam Barrett (Julie), Patrick Barrett (Andrea), Emily Ward (Chris), Jessica Martin (Taylor), Lane Weiner (Terika) and Jack Thacker; her great grandchildren, Emma Barrett, Ryan Barrett, Logan Barrett, Harrison Ward and Lillian Ward; and her siblings-in-law, Walter Kenneth Thacker and Cleo Conway. She is also survived by nieces and nephews with their children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home (500 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
That contribution to success is rarely mentioned, but Loris was very vocal that she did not stand alone in her ambitious track in life.
