It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Anthony Surdick Sr. (Crystal Lake, Illinois), born in Watertown, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Surdick and Mabel Surdick; and his brother-in-law John Carter. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Surdick; his children, Dr. James Surdick Jr. (Kris Sullivan), Dr. Jill Lubansky (Jeff), Brad Surdick (Tanya) and Courtney Smith (Joseph); his grandchildren, Shylah "Bird" Smith, Kai, Dex Surdick, Zoë and Wren Lubansky; and his siblings, Dr. Jack Surdick (Dorothy), Susan Avila (Marcos), Jean Bergdoll (Kevin), Joan Sellnow (Don), Tom Surdick (Renee), Howie Surdick, Lori Carter, Barbie Harris (Mark) and Bill Surdick (Kelly). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and their spouses.
