With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth F. Valdez (Crystal Lake, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2024 at the age of 86. Though Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elizabeth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Klem Wittek and Alice Wittek (Piontke); her husband Gordon Valdez; and her brother Robert Wittek. She is survived by: her significant other Kenneth Terry; her children, Danielle Link and Christopher Valdez; her grandchildren, Alexandra Hartwig (Kurtis), Samantha Baumgartner (Matthew Nagel) and Christopher Valdez; and her great grandchild Gordon Hartwig.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory – Crystal Lake (419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014).
