She was predeceased by: her father Elmer Ortmeyer; her brother James Ortmeyer (Adeline); and her grandparents, Ben, Sophie Taube, Ferdinand, Anne Ortmeyer, Teresa and Joseph Grefrath.
She is survived by: her husband Karl Ocheskey; her daughter Jessica Anne Battaglia (Dean); her grandchildren, Natalie Anne and Owen Reed Battaglia; her brother Robert Ortmeyer (Meg); and her nieces and nephews, Tim Ortmeyer (Kim), Mike Ortmeyer (Kim), Vance Ortmeyer, Christina Medina, Jennifer Hentges (Ron) and Randy Duncan (Paula).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Home (419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory – Crystal Lake (419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Holy Apostles (5211 Bull Valley Rd, McHenry, IL 60050).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Purple (https://www.projectpurple.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer.
