It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Dean Carter of Crossville, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Carter and Lota Carter (Spencer); and his siblings, Rose Lee Wilson and Darius Carter. He is survived by: his wife Ruth of Crossville; his children, Stan Carter (Joyce) of Crossville, Eddie Carter (Vicki) of Dale, IN, Barry Carter of Newburgh, IN and Stephen Carter (Heather) of Fairfield, IL; and his sister-in-law Joanne Peters of Lawrenceville, IL.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three step-children; five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry's memory to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is assisting the family with arrangements.
