She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Sturm and Geneva Faye Sturm (McIntire); her spouse Barney Yates; her sister Karen Kay Sturm; and her stepdaughter Carolyn Tidwell.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Sturm (Lin) of Crossville; her stepson Michael Yates (Debbie) of Golconda; her daughter Tynna Yates (Kenny Hornbeck) of Louisville; her stepdaughter Zanada Farmer (Jim) of Harrisburg; her siblings, Mike Sturm of Willits and Linda Hill (Victor) of Fairfield; and her grandchildren, Christie, Ryan, Matthew, Jacob, Malatha, Satin, Kenneth, Sasha, Nathan, Michael Lee, Kelly Jo, Jamie, Jennifer, Gary Wayne, Annette, Khole, Tammy, Theresa, Ricky, Elizabeth and James.
