He is survived by: his former wife Reta Mitchell; his children, Tod Sheckles, Fain Sheckles of Harrisburg, Illinois and Thea Shaw of Harrisburg, Illinois; his siblings, Terry "T. J." Sheckles (Debbie) of Crossville, Freda Mercer of Carmi, Regina Holman of Burkesville, Arvia James (Jay) of Carmi and Paula Madonna (Monty) of Carmi; his grandchildren, Matthew, Christina and Tristen; and his nephew Christopher Sheckles. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
