He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester C. Scarlett and Lora Lee Scarlett (Lucas); his sons, David Lane Scarlett of Crossville, IL., Brent Ray Scarlett of Cincinnati, Ohio and Andy Leonard Scarlett of Vienna, IL; his grandchildren, Dawn Kirkwood (Jon) of Newburgh, IN., Cameron Scarlett (Jesse) of Washington, IN., Justin Scarlett (Kiley) of Gilbert, AZ. and Celeste O'Neal (Greg) of Grayville, IL.; his sisters, Janice Lechler (Carl) of Omaha, NE, Carolyn Woodruff of Omaha, NE and Sandra Scarlett of Muskogee, OK.; his wife Ferris Fay Scarlett (Kornegger); and his son Phillip Mitchell Scarlett. He was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.
In accordance with CDC and IDHP regulations, social distancing will be observed and wearing masks will be required.
Contributions in memory of Gene, may be made to the Humane Society of Southern Illinois (humanesocietysil.org) and will be accepted by Campbell Funeral home who is in charge of the arrangements.
