He was predeceased by: his father David Eugene Hammell. He is survived by: his mother Mary Louise Hammell (McKnight) of Crossville; his wife Jane Hammell (Johnson) of Crossville; his children, Kevin Hammell (Pam) of Crossville, Brent Hammell (Carrie) of Crossville, Tassy Martin (Charles) of Grayville, Richard Mode (Susan) of O'Fallon, Jeff Degenhardt of Carmi and Karl Degenhardt; his sister Mary Jean Ellis (Glendall) of Springerton, Illinois; his grandchildren, Mallory, Shelby, Lucas, Gavin, Carrie, Cassie, Eli, Madison, Sydnie, Sophia and Zachary; and his friends, James and Sue Armstrong. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
