He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Helmers and Florence Helmers (Hieronymus) of Cropsey; his siblings, Jane Bahler, Ruth Broquard and James; and his brother-in-law Albert Tavener.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Tavener; his sons, Dennis (Cindy) of Fairbury, Dale (Amy) of Rio Verde, Arizona, Douglas (Brenda) of Cropsey and Jeffrey (Heather) of Hoffman Estates; his grandchildren, Brian Helmers (Kelly), Kristin Saluja (Sanjit), Kelsey Helmers, Laura Helmers, Brittany Kuntz (Forrest) and Alexander Helmers; his great grandchildren, Silas, Jacob Helmers and Finley Kuntz; his sister Lois Lemna; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Tavener, Ken Broquard of Fairbury and Marvin Bahler of Fairbury.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association, SELCAS, or a donor of your choice through Duffy Pils Memorial Home, 100 W. Maple Street, Fairbury, Il 61739, who are in charge of arrangements.
