He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Smith and Delores Smith (Howard); and his brother Jimmy Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Cassy Whetzel; his children, Heather Thomas (Andy) of Texas, Deanna Smith of Creve Coeur and Benjamin Smith of Creve Coeur; and his siblings, Vicki Swanson (Jim) of Princeton, Lenard Smith (Arlene) of Washington and Jeff Smith (Mary) of Kingston Mines. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Gordons name to a charity of the donor's choice.
