He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse James and Mary Rose Garant (Czjika); and his brothers, Thomas, Frank and John.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Luellen Cline; his children, Tracy Stout (Mike) of Springfield and David Garant (Tina) of East Peoria; his grandchildren, Jerry Stout (Kim), Jessica Healey (Travis), Kaeleb Hutchison, Tara Hutchison, Jordan Stout, Austin Garant, Danielle Witherspoon and Alexis Garant; and his brother James Garant (Margie) of California. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
