He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irish and Bridget Joyce of Virginia; his wife Judith Sauer; his children, Jennifer Joyce of Geneva, Bridget Joyce (Zachary Taylor) of Darien and Timothy Joyce (Dawn) of Crete; his grandchildren, Louis, Joseph, Jillian Foglia, August, Willem Bortman and Lucinda Joyce; and his siblings, John Joyce (Linda), Patrick Joyce, Kathryn Joyce, Michael Joyce (Patricia), Therese Lynn (Al), Mary Ellen Considine (Michael), Henry Joyce (Linda) and James Joyce (Sondra). He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Thomas' memory to Disabled Veterans of America.
