With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley C. Verbeek of Crete, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Verbeek; her daughter Caryn Sue Verbeek; her brother Lowell Richard Hoekstra; her sibling-in-law T. M. DeJong; and her parents, Richard Lowell and Clara Hoekstra.
She is survived by: her daughters, Thea Stienstra (Don) and Julie Drew (Jamie); her grandchildren, Carrie Rossi (Roberto), Allen Stienstra (Amy), Jeff Stienstra (Amanda), Scott Stienstra (Becky), Kristi Groenewold (Phil) and Lauren Jackson (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Matteo, Lydia, Ethan, Isaac, Tyler, Kate, Olivia, Elijah, Ruby, Payton, Cameron, Taylor, Jordan and Eli.
