Richard Poortinga Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2019 we had to say goodbye to Richard Poortinga (Crete, Illinois). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Tena Poortinga; his children, Robert Poortinga, Randall Poortinga (Debra), Julie Zandstra (Pete), Kenneth Poortinga (Cindy) and Daryl Poortinga (Sue); and his siblings, Peter Poortinga (late Tenie), Conrad Portenga (Grace), Johanna Haak (late Jake), Kathryn Poortinga, Martha Carrieri (late Gene), Dorothy Bruinsma (late Bill) and Daniel Poortinga (late Evie). He was also cherished by 25 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Protestant Reformed Christian School Association or Hospice of the Calumet Area.
