She was predeceased by: her father Robert Young. She is survived by: her husband Louis VanderMeer; her daughter Amanda Sokol (Brian); her grandchildren, Edwin and Lily Sokol; and her sister Lisa Shapiro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
