It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Van Bergen (Crete, Illinois), born in Cicero, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2019, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna P. Johansson and Fred C. Holtz; her daughter Jean Van Bergen; her siblings, Fred C. H. Holtz and Luella Brindle; and her nephews, Dennis Brindle and Bob Whitton.
She is survived by: her spouse Arnold Van Bergen (Bud); her daughters, Carol Stewart (Larry) and Joan French (Robert Braddock); her grandchildren, Greg Stewart (Karen) and Laurel Kane (Jim); her great grandchildren, Graham and William Stewart; her niece Sue Brankov (Larry); her nephews, Mick Brindle (Chris), Gary Holtz, Dean Whitton and Gary Gibson (Cheryl); her great-niece Lisa Taylor (Steve); her children, Kyle and Katelyn; and her great-nephews, Damon and Aaron Brindle.
