It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Burleson Pomeroy of Crete, Illinois, who passed away on April 2, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Burleson and Ruby Zimmerman of North Dakota; and her siblings, Blaine, Byron Burleson and Gloria Olig (George Pomeroy).
She is survived by: her children, David Pomeroy and Julie Pomeroy Bayless; her children-in-law, Scott Bayless and Cindy Hommes Pomeroy; her grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Jon Pomeroy, Jack and Riley Bayless; and her great grandchildren, Caleb, Hunter, Hailey, Charlotte and Jon.
Karen fought cancer multiple times in her life, and Parkinson's disease. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
