He was predeceased by: his wife Joan M. Hope; his siblings, Rose Hunter and Donald Najzieja; and his parents, Joseph Nadzieja and Mary Nadzieja.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Hope (Diane), Constance Hope, Alan Hope (Thresa), Sharon Umland (Jim) and Kathie Absher (David); his grandchildren, Bart, Gabriel, Isaiah, Alyssa, Elijah, Kiera, Allison Luster (Mark), Kasey, Nicole Watkins (Sam), Alex (Katie), David Jr. (Edyta), Andy (Stephanie), Megan King (Aaron) and Hannah; and his great grandchildren, Rowan and Tyler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Illinois Conservation Foundation appreciated.
