With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Rietveld of Crete, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jacqueline F. Rietveld; his siblings, Mary Scholl (late Larry), Ivan Rietveld (late Mabel) and Merrill Rietveld; and his parents, John C. Rietveld and Sarah Rietveld.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Rietveld (Nancy) and Ronald Rietveld (Susan); his grandchildren, Stephanie Mensonides (Grant), Jonathan Rietveld, Matthew Rietveld (Grace Thelo), Leanne Clark (Mitch), Rachel Rietveld and Sarah Jane Rietveld; and his great grandchildren, Bowen and Everett.
