He was predeceased by: his brother Charles; and his parents, Richard DeVries and Elizabeth DeVries. He is survived by: his wife Elaine DeVries; his daughter Andrea DeVries (Howard Degenholtz); his grandchildren, Isaac, Sonia and Annabel; his siblings, Carol Hoffman (Vern) and David DeVries (Ruth); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce DeVries, Audrey Carlson and Richard Fieldhouse. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
