With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol M. Barnes of Crete, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Marcus "Mark" Barnes; her brothers, Tim Rietveld, Bob Rietveld and Rick Rietveld; and her parents, Richard Rietveld and Adele Rietveld.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Davis (Nathan), Melanie Aitken (Nick), Mark Barnes (Deanne), Charles Barnes and Brian Barnes (Gina); and her siblings, Sue Ebbens (Gary) and Bill Rietveld (Val).
