He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Huisenga and Kate Huisenga; and his siblings, Peter Huisenga, Sophie Schenkel, Gertrude Voss, Donald Huisenga, Jeanette Huisenga, Harry Huisenga, John Huisenga, Clarence Huisenga, Herman Huisenga and Corrine Huisenga.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella Huisenga; his daughters, Sherry Van Deraa (Paul) and Judy Boersema; his grandchildren, Ryan Van Deraa (Emily), Amy Bousema (Brett), Bryce Van Deraa (Audrey), Jason Van Deraa (Megan), Leah (Aaron) of Jager and Marc Borsema; and his great grandchildren, Marc, Griffin, Eleanor, Vivian, Clara, Margot, Landon, Hannah, Morgan, Tanner, Silas, Levi, Ava, Elliot, Owen and Evelyn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church (22515 Torrence Ave, Sauk Village, IL 60441). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
