He is survived by: his children, William E. Jr. (Maggie), Thomas Swiontek (Marion), John (Cathy), Patrick (Francesca), Cathy, Michael Swiontek (Maria), Linda Badagliacco, Anne Badagliacco (Tom), Marilyn Crusing (Mark), Sharon Rook (Stephen), Joy Cunningham (Allen) and Carol; and his siblings, Thomas (Denise), Alma Jean and Joseph (Karolyn).
