She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Thomas Daniel Purtell; and her children, Thomas Purtell (Kelly), Raymond Purtell (Stacia), Karen Wegg (Rich), Marcia Causley (Jude Bradd), Brittany Purtell, Michael Segoviano (Christopher), Mallory Murphy (Brendan), Christopher Purtell, Kyle Purtell, Alexis Segoviano, Vanessa Wegg, Meghan Purtell, Kelsey Wegg, Jack Sedivy, Kayla Younglove, Nick Younglove and Greyson Purtell.
She often used her free time to crochet infant outfits that were donated to local hospitals, and made frequent donations to charitable organizations. The family asks that in lieu of flowers to make a donation in Marie's name to one of those organizations that she held dear.
