She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Martha Brown (Meling) and Grant Brown; her husband Carl Hill; her daughter Carla Jo; her brother Albert Brown; her children, Paul, Mark (Dee), Beth (William) and Ann; her grandchildren, Steve (Abby), Amy (Mat), Brittany (Aaron), Ben (Maria), Hannah (Stephen), Jocelyn (Brian), Sydney and Georgia; her great grandchildren, Riley and Reagan; her sister Mary Lou Kemper (Daryl); and her brother-in-law Donald Hill. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In Marie's memory, memorials may be given to Calvary Lutheran Church, Lee.
