With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nicholas W. Weiss of Crest Hill, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Weiss and Melba Weiss (Ellebracht); his stepfather Ernest McGrath, Sr.; his sister Marion Walters (McGrath); his parents-in-law, Patrick Doolin and Alice Doolin; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Doolin and Mary Ellen Ricketts.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Weiss of Lockport; his sons, Nick Weiss (Brandy) and Jeff Weiss (Danielle); his grandchildren, Owen (Erin), Naomi, Jack, Mickey, Gianna, Ben, Abigail and Lauren Weiss; his stepmother Helen McGrath; his brother Ernest McGrath, Jr. (Lena); his brothers-in-law, Bill Doolin (Gail) and Mike Doolin (Cathy); and his close friends, Fred and Diane Hafner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
