It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John S. Vershay of Crest Hill, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father John P. Vershay; his wife Nadine Vershay; his mother Evelyn Vershay-Reeves (Brozovich); his stepfather D. Hubert Reeves; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Mary Dagon (Budzinski); and his siblings-in-law, Ed Pekar and Verna Mae Pekar.
He is survived by: his children, John J. Vershay (Tamara Roberts), Christine Vershay-Hall (Donald) and Tammy Wisniewski (Christopher); his granddaughter Molly Nadine Vershay; and his niece Cyndee Pekar.
