He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Balek; and his parents, John Balek and Mary Balek. He is survived by: his children, Charles Balek (Elfi), Robert Balek (Valerie Zebel Cummings), Elaine Meredith (Don), Paul Balek (Jane) and Thomas Balek (Lisa); his close friend Betty Morgan; and also, Tracey and Jimmy. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
