It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Newlands of Crest Hill, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on June 5, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Gollick (Mike) and Homer Scott. She is survived by: her husband Charles H. Newland; her sons, Richard Newland (Belinda) and Robert Newland; her grandsons, Cody and Shane Newland; and her siblings, Joyce Martin (Bill), Beverly Scott and Orland Scott (Arlene). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to Lightways Hospice (formerly Joliet Area Community Hospice).
