It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willis D. McElroy of Cowden, Illinois, who passed away on December 15, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McElroy and Jessie McElroy (Randall); his siblings, Keith Switzer, Marty Switzer, Donnie McElroy, Terry McElroy and Sandra Giles; and his great-nephew Wyatt Giles.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather Wade (Troy) of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Alexis Lellig (Andrew) of Davenport, IA, Garrett Wade of Shelbyville and Mia Wade of Shelbyville; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Switzer of Cowden, Joyce McElroy of Beecher City, Joanne McElroy of Cowden, Bobbi Switzer of Tulsa, OK, Theresa Settle of Virden and Dean Giles of Beecher City; and his nephew Terry McElroy (Vicki) of Beecher City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
